By Stephanie Devereaux -- Or as the Supreme Court says -- by virtue of its Citizens United ruling -- corrupted democracy at work! In a sad ending
for the citizens of Wisconsin and Americans in general, the rich and super rich appear to have won one more battle in the war for the soul of America. A torrent of money from wealthy contributors from in and out of Wisconsin -- appears to have won the day for Scott Walker -- and permitted him to stay in office for the balance of his first term as governor.
If he isn't indicted on criminal charges by the Department of Justice in the coming days, that is. How hilarious would that be if gullible
Wisconsin voters went to the polls in response to the tens of millions of out-of-state dollars (maybe even out of country) spent touting Scott Walker's unique contribution to the fiscal well- being of Wisconsin citizens -- and then wake up in a few days to find him indicted for criminal conspiracy or felony violation of election laws.
Oh well -- they voted -- so I guess maybe they got what they wanted. At least the nearly 60% who voted for him. May they live long and prosper. And may they enjoy their lives -- under Walker. I think Walker will run for President now. I just hope he can wait until 2016. Romney would be very angry if he didn't.
