Anti-Socialist, Anti-ObamaCare Romney -- Praises Success of Socialized Medicine In Israel!

By Silena Parthelemon -- Even as Romney has had to dash pell-mell away from his signature accomplishment as Governor of Massachussetts, and has been contorted and distorted into the political acrobatics of affirming healthcare for Americans at the state level but not at the national level -- then for and against the "mandate" -- I mean "penalty" -- no I was right -- it's a tax -- just like the Supreme Court said -- even though I don't agree with them -- entirely   -- kind of a political non-position on healthcare --- the one unequivocal thing in "Mr. Etch-a-Sketch" medicine bag of "tricks that work everytime" has been his denouncement of all things "French" and of anything "Europeanly-socialistic -- even in the slightest.  He's got the red meat nose of the crazy right wing idiot contingent of the GOP down -- to a tee. .                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       . Until this week,  that is.  Reminiscent of George H. W. Bush's wonder and amazement at the grocery store bar-code reader check-out counter technology when he saw it for the first time during his campaign for President -- Romney could hardly control his "bean-counter" brain's arousal at the prospect of such cost-effective and efficient healthcare delivery and provision in Israel. .                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       . "Do you realize what health care spending is as a percentage of the GDP in Israel", he asked, obviously finding it incredulous.  "8%...and you're a pretty healthy nation.  We spend 18% of our GDP on health care.  10 percentage points more... we have to find ways, not just to provide health care to more people, but to find ways to finally manage our health care cost." .                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       . Israel's healthcare system is a socialist health care system.  Israel has universal health care -- which is funded by a progressive income tax.  The government in Israel also sets the price that the government will pay for services and treatments. .                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        .
