Let's Quit Yapping About Whether the "Mandate" is a "Penalty" or a "Tax" And Get About the Process of Passing "Medicare For All" or Universal Free Healthcare For All" Like We Were "Actually" the Civilized Society We Pretend To Be!

By Robert Sexton -- It is pretty hilarious -- and tragic -- watching the media, the professional political pundits, and the corporate-financed politicians in Washington in their feeding frenzy and "fake" news chattering over whether the so-called "mandate" is a actually penalty or a really tax, a fee, a fine, an incentive or a punishment -- or a partridge in a pear tree. .                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         . Nobody cares.  What we care about is a single pay or European-socialist style free universal healthcare system like the majority of civilized countries in the world have for their citizens  - even though they -- surprisingly enough -- still have a little room for a few maniacally deranged money obsessed monopolistic free market capitalists despite all the toil and travail of being a European-socialist predatory style capitalist euro-capitalist market. .                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       . Just like the issue in Citizens United is simple -- get corporate greed money out of our politics.  Just like the Hyde Amendment -- repeal is because it's nobody's damn business what kind of healthcare we choose and what we choose to spend our healthcare money on.  Just like contraception and planned parenthood -- -plan your own sad-sack contraception -- or not -- and go to planned parenthood --- or not -- and leave the rest of us the hell alone to do what we please.  You worry about and manage you and yours -- and we'll worry about us and ours. .                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       . So quit worrying about what we did and what it means and get about the business of fixing what was broken in what we did, add what it needed that that is doesn't have -- and get about the business of providing the inalienable human right of free, universal all inclusive healthcare on a non-profit basis for all of our citizens first --- and all the world second. .                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         .
